"the washington post" is reporting that d.c.'s inspector general has found a top aide to d.c. mayor

city employees to baby-sit her child during the work day. the report says courtney snowden deputy mayor for greater economic opportunity asked her staff to take her young childy to a relative's home and to pick up the child from school in august of 2015. it says snowden also left the child, who was then 8 years old, under the supervision of her employees while she attended a meeting outside of her office. now, in a statement tonight no news 4 mayor bowser's communications director said, quote, any issues raised have been addressed and the mayor has full confidence in deputy mayor snowden's ability to continue to deliver her residents of the district of columbia. the report did not examine allegations that snowden retaliated against her staff after they raised ethical concerns about her conduct. jim and doreen? >> jackie, thank you. tonight the first public appearance for alabama senate candidate roy moore in nearly two weeks.

applause and a standing ovation. the senate hopeful has made a few public appearances after at least nine women accused him of sexual misconduct ranging from inappropriate flirting to sexual assault of a minor. tonight, he adamantly denied all wrongdoing and vowed to keep fighting. >> i've not run one negative ad. but i'm going to take off some gloves to show the truth in this campaign. >> moore refused to take any questions from the crowd or reporters who were there. he says he'll have many more campaign events planned before that special election december 12th. a woman falsely told "the washington post" that alabama senate candidate moore got her pregnant when she was 15 years old in 1992. jamie phillips, who you see sitting on the right, told the "post" that she later had an abortion. "post" reporters looked more closely into

she lied in order to discredit the news organization. they watched her walking into project veritas, a group that targets the mainstream media and left leaning groups. the largest massage franchise chain in the unis under fire after close to 200 women say they were sexually assaulted. a local woman went public today for the first time detailing her assault. the incident happened back in september. kara woodly said she didn't report it at first. she felt violated and scared. then she called 911 and the massage therapist was arrested, charged not for her alleged assault but for another three weeks prior. detectives say massage envy management knew about the prior complaint. >> every month he was targeting somebody. and i was september. so i thank god that it happened to me. my husband encouraged me to call

and it won't happen to a november woman or a december woman. it stops with me. >> massage envy acknowledged that 180 people filed sexual lawsuits, police report and state board complaints. the company says the incidents occurred over a span of 15 plus years. following up now on a story we first told you about earlier this month. parents and students say they desperately need mean to repair their school. tonight they found out they're not going to get either one. shomari stone talked to people on both sides of the issue at poolesville high school. >> i'm crushed. >> reporter: joy zucker is upset that poolesville will not get a new high school. she's lived there for more than a decade. >> i'm heartbroken that this county superintendent of schools and this board of education voted unanimously to accept a budget that eliminating poolesville high school from any future renovation. >> reporter: a student gave me these photos that

the school is more than 60 years old. we talked with a student about it a few weeks ago. >> it poses a serious hazard. >> reporter: school board member patricia o'neil. >> we just approved a $1.83 billion six-year capital budget. it doesn't cover everything. we know that we have aging schools and crumbling infrastructure, and we grew by 2900 students this year. >> reporter: she says school replacements are based on factors such as repairs and overcrowding. some poolesville residents admit overcrowding is not a problem, but it needs major repairs. o'neil says the board will re-evaluate montgomery county school repair after this winter. >> the building needs to be completely replaced. >> reporter: a group of residents called protect our poolesville are going to meet to decide what to do next. shomari stone, news .

tomorrow, you know who your boss will be. for those at the consumer financial protection bureau, it's unclear who will be in charge and for how long. today white house budget director nick mulvaney appointed to work. president trump appointed him over the weekend after richard cordray resigned as director. but cordray picked liana english. english who was the deputy director filed suit to block mulvaney from taking over. as of right now mulvaney is in charge of the bureau. this bureau is important because it helps protect people against financial companies such as mortgage lenders and credit card companies from exploiting consumers. president trump took time today to honor world war ii navajo code talkers but then the ceremony quickly turned political with observers saying he used racial slurs. >> you were here long before any of us were here. although we have a

they say was here a long time ago. they call her pocahontas. >> the president directed those comments at senator elizabeth warren. warren says she has native american roots in her ancestry. warren responded to the president's comments calling them unfortunate. the white house says it was not the president's intent to make a racial slur. >> new at 11:00 tonight new protocol at the university of maryland to address the increase of hate biautos incides inciden campus. they can be reported to the campus police tore university's office of civil rights and sexual misconducts. the office of diversity and inclusion will maintain an incident log and create a system to notify the campus. that department will also hire a response coordinator to lead the newly established hate bias response team. that team was announced after lieutenant richard collins iii was murdered on campus back in may.
