maryland in may. a top aide to d.c.'s mayor is under investigation. courtney snowden is facing misconduct allegations. the deputy mayor for economic opportunity is accused of having city employees baby-sit her child during the workday. the first report of the story was in june. now a report from the inspector general confirms that snowden watched -- mayor bowser's office released a statement that said the mayor had full confidence in deputy mayor snowden's ability to. soon you could be dining out with your dog. they're allowing pets on restaurant property. restaurants could be fined $500 if customers bring their animals even if there's outdoor seating. similar policies are in place in both montgomery county

who are eyeing a tax vote. >> the president will also meet with leaders from both chambers of congress. they'll discuss other fast approaching deadlines. tracie potts is live on capitol hill for us. lawmakers have a lot on the table for us. not a lot of time to get it done. >> not a lot of time to get it done. starting with taxes. the president's priority. why he's coming to meet with republicans at lunch today because there are a few skeptical republicans who don't like the fact that they think small businesses get the shaft, essentially with this plan and so do low income americans. the latest congressional budget office reports that -- they pay more in taxes than people make over $100,000. the president is coming here today with one goal, to try to seal the deal to convince skeptical republicans that there's a way to make this work. but that's not the only thing. we are months overdue for a budget. the new deadline, the end of next week. he's meeting with top republicans and democrats from both sides here today.
