tax reform. traveling to capitol hill to personally make his case. we're going to begin our coverage with nbc washington correspondent, kristen welker. good morning to you. >> reporter: good morning to you. president trump has a full day of high-stakes meetings on both sides of pennsylvania avenue today. first stop, capitol hill, where he will push senate republicans to get behind the tax reform plan with more than a dozen senators expressing doutd expret now. later this afternoon, the president is back at the white house, where he will meet with leaders of both parties to discuss the rest of his agenda. the president adding urgency to all of it. hopefully republican senators will give us the much-needed tax cuts to keep it all going. democrats want big tax increases. in just a few hours, president trump heads to the hill, where he'll make a hard sell for tax reform. >> it will be a tremendous tax cut. the biggest in the history of our country. >> reporter: overnight, some gop
