the commute? >> reporter: simply put, plan early. leave if you can before you usually do. today on i-66, it's going to be a little bit different as you mentioned. in about a half hour, even solo drivers will have access to the 66 express lanes. they will have that for a toll. you will need your e-zpass as well. because your ride is now going to cost you here. now how much will depend upon dynamic tolling which relies on traffic volume and demand. the overhead gantries will start taking your tolls. carpoolers, two and more, you can switch it to hov mode and you'll continue to ride for free. the weekday tolls in effect from 5:30 to 9:30 a.m. going eastbound and 3:00 p.m., to 7:00 p.m. going westbound. these are the express lines from

>> chris, thank you. another arrest in a murder case that rocked the area. the two were killed the night before their high school graduation. >> the teens were shot to death in montgomery village. news 4's meagan fitzgerald is live at the montgomery county court where a fourth suspect will appear before a judge. what do we know about this case? >> eun and aaron, it was friday afternoon when the suspect was driving in rockville. he was pulled over by montgomery county officers, taken in and arrested he's now facing charges of first degree murder. we want to get to the mugshot and show you this guy. his name is ronnie -- in addition to the charges of first degree murder, he will also be charged with conspiracy to commit murder. >> the two went to montgomery village thinking they were going to sell a ticket to their graduation which was set for the

police believe that's when the fourth suspect, all four suspects, rather, opened fire inside the car brutally killing the two teens. investigators believe the murder was in retaliation for an alleged robbery that was committed months before. knows are allegations that his father denies. again, those four suspects will appear in court in the next couple of hours. back to you. meagan fitzgerald live in montgomery county for us. six minutes after the hour now. developing this morning, the white house is doing damage control. the president's outside lawyer taking responsibility for a tweet that could land the president in hot water with the fbi. here's that tweet. you take a look. it says i had to fire general flynn because he lied to the vice president and the fbi. now, this implied the president knew former national security adviser michael flynn committed a felony when he told comey to go ease n ihim. that could be obstruction of

justice. president trump's lawyer says he wrote the tweet. on friday, flynn pled guilty to -- the former host of "access hollywood" is firing back at president trump over the infamous tape where the president can be heard bragging about inappropriately grabbing women. there are reports that the president privately questioned whether the voice on the recording is really his. in an article, billy bush wrote, of course he said t we laughed along. along with donald trump and me, there were seven other guys on the bus. every single one of us assumed we were listening to a crass standup act. we now know better. bush was fired for that. tracie potts will explain how close we are to a government shutdown. new this morning, new allegations of sexual misconduct. this time new york's metropolitan opera has suspended its conductor. james levine

12 minutes after the hour. a rescue effort for a girl has not ended well. they found remains they believe belonged to her in north carolina. the 3-year-old went missing november 27th. police did not say how she died. her mother's boyfriend, a 32-year-old has been charged in connection with her

appearance later this morning. a hazing incident at the college of william and mary led school officials to take action. william and mary officials suspended the sigma iota alpha sorority after the organization violated the hazing policy. the school says the group limited contact with members, isolated members socially and forced them to eat food. the sorority could be suspended until the end of the spring 2018 semester. today the man charged in a shooting at a mall in central virginia is due in court. that mall in colonial heights was evacuated saturday afternoon. this is about 20 miles south of richmond. the suspect has been arrested police say he knew the victim. that man remains in critical condition. i'm chris lawrence at the live desk. thousands of garth brooks fans were in the dark. there was an outage during brooks'

far. that is double the number than this time last year. this season it looks like you could still get the flu even after getting the vaccine. doctors still say there is no better way to prevent the flu. there is very little downside to getting vaccinated. that's really the only way to protect yourself. with the holidays and the congregation of people and family get-togethers and things like that, that's how it could easily get spread. >> if you're over 65 years old, there are two options to boost immune response. that's important because there is an increased risk for stroke or heart attack for older adults after getting flu. this weekend, one special local celebrated a milestone birthday. >> d.c. resident fannie ace en berg turned 101 years old. the holocaust museum threw her a party. she is part of the

that's hard to know out the gate. >> that's right. for drivers traveling alone, the tolling is dynamic. the prices will fluctuate depending on traffic volume. that is intended to manage the demand fort lanes and keep traffic flowing mootly. >> also, too, you mentioned there is a way to get an idea of what your tolls cost before you leave your house. >> that's right. we just launched a mobile app. 66 express lane. people can download that on to their phone and check out the current toll price estimate so they have an idea of what tolls are going to be at that given time. eventually, they'll be able to check back and see what they've been in the past. >> michelle, there won't be any free passes. if you don't have your e-zpass, what happens to you in term of what you will pay? >> well, drivers that don't have an e-zpass will receive the invoice in the mail covering the

determine control of richmond's lower chamber. democrat joshua cole filed for the recount in the 28th drik for the virginia house of delegates. that includes fredericksburg and stafford county. cole lost to bob thomas by 82 votes. candidates in two other tight virginia races have also filed for recount. prince george's county police are looking for two people who held up a t-mobile store at gunpoint sunday afternoon. police say the men ordered everyone to the back of the store on silver hill road in district heights. the gunman made off with $1100 in merchandise. no one was hurt. military leaders honored captain john morgan during a ceremony. he was the pilot of that f-16 seen here ejecting from his plane over prince george's county. morgan had engine problems apparently with the plane during exercises in april. landing the plane

as you walk out, temperatures are in the 20s and 30s. once the sun comes up. chuck is back in a bit to talk about the timing of rain and pretty cold into the week. 14 before the hour now. house republicans will begin the next step on reconciling their tax reform plan with the senate plan. >> one gop lawmaker says they hope to have a compromised bill to president trump by the end of the week. news 4's tracie potts joins us live from capitol hill. tracie, how realistic is that friday goal here? >> it is just a goal. it's not really a hard deadline for them. there are some significant differences in these plans, eun. difference in what your tax bill could look like under the house or the senate version. the senate wants to get rid of the mandate to buy health insurance. the house wants to get rid of medical expense deductions which can hit a lot of seniors. they want to limit mortgage interest deductions. the house has

the senate has seven tax brackets. including a lower one for the wealthiest americans. they have to work out the differences starting this week. trace we, we're looking at the possibility of a government shutdown here. congress has, what, four days to come up with a bill to keep the lights on. how is that going? >> they've been working on it. the top republican on the senate side, mitch mcconnell says don't worry about it, we've got a plan. there's not going to be a shutdown at the end of the week. they have a plan to extend things a couple of weeks until they get something definitive. this could throw a wrench in it. they're insisting they work with daca. they're probably not going to have enough political capital before it goes away in march. they want to deal with it now. i'm quoting mitch mcconnell, that's ridiculous. they have plenty of time to deal with that. they don't think the democrats
