but not terrible. in the $10 range. yesterday a completely different story. we saw a record high, but toll was 44 bucks. take a look at this photo. tweeted out by chris cane as he drove to work thursday morning. the toll on i-66 had reached $44. cane included the hashtag highry robbery in his tweet. and many agree. >> everyone takes 66, so $44 is crazy. >> if people want to use the hov lane and they are willing to pay it, good luck to them. >> would you personally? >> no, not at all. >> this was the highest toll on 66. price varies depends on congestion. vdot says heavy traffic

caused people to jump on 66 causing the spike. it only lasted six minutes and vdot won't know until next week if any one actually paid it. some commuters ask if the toll system is helping with congestion or creating problems on second dparry roads. >> if you take it every day you'll find a back route. >> reporter: now if you don't want to pay the toll, no matter what it is, you can start carpool, well twoel or moren you can drive in i-66 in the zone for free, you have to have the easy pass with the flex component to it. flip it 20 show you are in a carpool situation then you don't have to pay. but, yeah, pretty hefty toll yesterday, guys, i'm real curious to see numbers, whether anyone jumped on and paid 44 bucks. >> yeah, exactly. that's what we would want to

charged with voyeurism. 23-year-old christian worked at the greater school of washington. say they posted a video on snap chap with aides trying to change the diaper of a 11-year-old girl. told investigator to document her stressful day and titled it, want to go home. also told police she had remorse after watching the video later that day. today police officers are looking for a gunman. that man called last night. chopper 4 flew over the scene as vet ors collected evidence. say the gunman took off in a dark colored sedan. a tragic crime, say killed his mother and then

silver spring. when they arrived 88-year-old rose was dead they say she was shot. according to investigators her 60-year-old son killed her and then turned the gun on himself. the man accused of ramming his car into a charlottesville crowd and killing a woman will be charged with first degree murder. say he killed heather hire and injured several others back in august. charges upgraded yesterday during a court hearing. how violent they became, they set up barricades and had officers in tactical gear at the courthouse. 40 years in prison if convicted. home for the holidays has a special new meaning for one local family. he

afternoon today some light snow developing. roads will be wet but low visibility for a period of time. here is live look. this is over the past few hours. so frederick county that's one spot we'll watching for snow currently falling. see the county in purple mainly the d.c. metro and maryland. so again not everybody. and mostly going to be this afternoon. visibility looks good except you are up in fredericks drop to about four mile visibility pretty good drop so i think there is snow developing in those areas. temperatures though are still below freezing. so look at this, 20 degrees, that's the actual temperature. it's not the wind chill. frederick is at 28. that will be sticking. treated roads mostly fine. but tem fuperatures for the resf

really has to go to the bathroom. so pay attention to the signs. >> right. >> make sure to leave extra time. >> and i know some people give their animals anti-anxiety medicine if your pet doesn't travel. >> yes, i would talk to the veterinarian, most airports don't want you to use it in that, but car travel it's more acceptable. >> if you are going to be flying somewhere and taking your pet with you, that's pretty big commitment. >> right. >> what do we do in those cases? >> i woupt recommend ldn't reco holiday travel, last resort if you are moving across the country. because extremely stressful on the pet. it can get too cold or too hot, even though airlines try to have temperatu
