there it is right there. fairfax county police say the suspect assaulted a juvenile, stole a truck, led police on a chase, crashed into a van of people, and a salted two officers. the suspect has not been identified, but police say he will face multiple charges. >> and memorial service has been set up for a ruston couple allegedly killed by their daughter's boyfriend last week. held saturday in herndon. the suspect a 17-year-old, allegedly killed scott fricker last weekend before shooting himself. says the suspect has been battling mental health issues. also disputed "washington post" report that neighbors appreciationed concerns to the family after the teenager mowed a swastika into afield. she said nobody approached the family about that.

couple told news4 they were worried about the suspect dating their daughter because of his neo-nazi views. >> police have made a third arrest in the murder of a 17-year-old girl who was the daughter of a d.c. police officer. 18-year-old james may field faces a first degree murder charge in the death of jamari see more. you may remember she was shot by astray bullet by driving down in northeast back in august. two other men are charged in her killing. she was a woodrow wilson graduate and died just days before she was due to start classes at florida university. we are certainly in a holiday pattern around here. traffic is lighter. there are lots of parties to attend but that means you should be extra focused about safety. police are cracking down

hundreds of post christmas passengers stranded overnight at airport near london after cold weather affected spliet skeed tools according to british media, frustrated travelers complained about a look of information with many getting stuck on planes for hours. others also had trouble getting luggage back. some flights were canceled due the bad weather leaving no option for the passengers but to stay at the a port. >> no wheairport. >> no where to go. we'll stay here. her face says it all. airport released a statement saying stranded passengers are being

today warm up 15 degrees for wind chill. tomorrow and saturday not that bad relatively speaking. 25 for the feels like temperature during the afternoon. then sunday, new year's eve day, monday january 1st, it will feel five to ten degrees outdoor. cold sticking around. unusual to have it stick around. our current temperatures only around 22 degrees. 20 out in the there in camp springs. as we look at our feels like temperature for 2:00 this afternoon, only in teens, 16 degrees in washington. this continues to be the case as we head on into the evening hours. overnight tonight we continue to feel like temperatures in the teens across the area. tomorrow morning it's a cold start but not going to be as bad as it was out there this morning. we are not going to be talking about single digit wind chills on your friday morning. it will feel about 18 degrees in frederick tomorrow morning at

you're watching news4 midday. more than two dozen people are okay after a nightmare commute in new york city. this fairy carrying 27 people last night when it got stuck ton a sand bar for four hours. adding to the misery the water was so shallow commuters had to evacuate in small boats. this was second time in the month that commuters were stranded by this service. temperatures likely in the low teens for the new year's eve making it one of the coldest holidays on record. bitter cold and security concerns are sure to be on everybody's mind. nbc stephanie

degrees in january. looking back 2017 never that cold during the daytime. to give you an idea how cold this air is, let's take a break from all the cold talk. let's talk about snow. i know erika loves this. here we are saturday morning 6:00 a.m., notice light snow showers potentially impacting the area. continue through noon and the snow drops off. so not talking about a lot under an inch right now. temperatures though do stay right around freezing during the day so anything that falls will stick. but i don'ty it will have any issue here. it will be a low impact event. by saturday night around 30 degrees at 9:00 p.m. if you are traveling, it's going to be about 16 in pittsburgh during the evening hours and 17 degrees up in new york. so minor snow chances. that's it. now back to the cold. 22 degrees right now with north wind 12-mile-per-hour. so feels about 10 degrees. high temperatures this afternoon only warming into the low

>> right. >> how does this all work? and tell me what the process was like for you guys to be on that side of the table interviewing folks? >> it was really fun. they approached us about trying out for the show. they heard about our company because it has won several awards and big in the community. and once they liked what they saw, they took us out to new york and we filmed the show. and they brought hires out there with them and we interviewed some. >> tell me about the hires, how many people did you interview? >> we wound up interviewing four people but wound up most of the day and each of them came in and we had about 20 cameras in the room and whole thing was recorded. they were true real interviews. it was amazing experience. >> so really, i think a look at how people do under pressure and how they really react and respond when they are going for a job interview. so did you find that all of these people were particularly nervous because they knew they we o

or how did you see their interview? >> several had better body language and more comfort zone than others. but definitely a lot of nerves. but we wanted to make sure they were okay and didn't have to be perfect. while there is pressure to get this job and woofys is a hard company to work for but we want today wanted to make them feel at ease. >> what is the biggest mistake? >> profanity. >> in a job interview? >> yes. one sentence filled with two profane words. >> really? >> that was the biggest mess up i would say. >> okay. so note to self don't curse at future bosses, and don't drop f bombs. >> you hired from the show. ll
