couple days before the new year. a live report ahead. news 4 at 6:00 starts now. well, if you've been outside at any time today, you know there's an arctic cold front that actually hit us today big time, and it's going to be driving down temperatures all the way to the teens tonight. hello, everybody, i'm lyon harris. our meteorologist says for many of you it feels even colder tomorrow. what's the story on that? >> i know. to think, it could feel colder than this. yeah, feels like the single digits soon here. i want to wrap this up, though, snow ranging from flurries to light snow in areas of northern montgomery county and in the district, flurries coming down. this is the last of it. at 8:00 or 9:00, this moves out of here. throughout the overnight hours, as i said, lingering flurries tonight, and then winds begin to pick up. it's going to be breezy, blustery ug

david culver, news 4. >> don't hold your breath waiting for seagrave to help you across the street. breaking now, we know now where the fbi raided a virginia town home last night. fbi agents say the man arrested was an isis supporter. they arrested shaun andrew dunkin yesterday in sterling. according to the federal documents, fbi agents found numerous internet searches on the cell phone including body arm armor, isis attacks, and weapons. a family member says that he converted to islam and may have become radicalized as early as last year. or as recently as last year, i should say. court documents have an unnamed coconspirator who told the fbi in july that dunkin was interested in joining isis. news 4 captured video from chopper 4 as well as on the ground as agents removed boxes from a home in sterling last

five and a half hours at the home yesterday. we also learned tonight that dunkin will be in federal court next tuesday in alexandria, and, of course, we'll be covering that. friends and family say a final good-bye to a husband and wife killed in their reston home three days before christmas. funeral services for scott his wife were held today. family members say, the daughter's teenage boyfriend shot them and believe a relatives say they had just learned the teen had not seen sympathies and told their daughter to break up with him. the teen shot himself and is now in the hospital. they plan to charge him with the murders in this case. right now, dozens of people are out in the cold forced from name homes safafter a massive f this morg

year. darcy spencer is live outside the condos with new video you'll only see here on news 4. darcy? >> reporter: hey, leon, this is the building where the fire happened this morning. you can see restoration crews placed tarps along the roof. let's get back to the exclusive video we obtained a short time ago as i share new information just released by the montgomery county fire department. the cell phone video was shot by a resident this morning. you can see the flames were very intense. this happened just before 5:00 this morning. quince orchid boulevard. 29 adults and 22 children displaced. they are being assisted by the red cross. we're told residents had to be rescued or evacuated this morning. the fire started in the attic area. the cause is likely accidental, but for yonow, ruled

counties. this is tapering off, wrapping up. at 8:00 or 9:00, we'll see the last of it pull through. these are the totals. we knew it was not a major snow event, however, you know, doesn't take much when the grounds are this cold to hold the snow so roads were slick out there, but frederick county, maryland, they got 2.1 inches of snow. that's why you had a winter weather advisory. for the rest of us, really from trace to a .50 to under an inch in montgomery county. that's the last of the snow for the overnight hours. we'll see it taper off. roads still slick. going out tonight? keep that in mind. temperatures dropping to the teens. when you see 18 and blustery, that means it feels more like 13, 14 degrees out there, and by 2:00 a.m., very cold, mostly cloudy skies. planning out your sunday. if you have plans on tomorrow morning, going for a run, it is bone-chilling cold. get the thermals on. ru
