the 20s. early next week we see some relief coming out of this. definitely not tonight. the coldest we have seen so far tonight. the winds, still gusting up near 30 miles an hour over toward the baltimore area. 25 in gaithersburg. that only adds to the wind chill. the current wind chills across the area, feels like 3 degrees in d.c. 1 below in fredericsburg. because of these wind chills below zero, once again we have a wind chill advisory because we could get between 5 and 15 below. extremely tonight. continues on through the day tomorrow. this is the best thing we've got here. much warmer next week. as a matter of fact, we'll be about four-times, five-times warmer than we are outside right now. >> that sounds like an improve.

storm being felt by people traveling all over the country. some airports are still snowed under. in maine, boston, new york, even the deep south. ground crews are working around the clock through cold, heavy wind to clear inches of snow from airport runways and ramps. >> lot of snow out there. we have really no place to put it. we're really piling it into big mountains of snow and we melt it. >> nearly 2,000 flights were cancelled today after nearly twice as many were cancelled yesterday. here in d.c., it's not the typical friday night scene, 14th street usually bustling with people heading to bars and restaurants, tonight, the bitter cold air keeping a lot of customers away. shomari spoke with some business owners. >> business is hurting definitely tonight. i'm here at national

the sheriff deputy say that's where he was when he touched the girl inappropriately. he was charged with aggravated sexual battery. breaking tonight, another blow for virginia democrats who were hoping for shared power in the house of delegates. federal judge denied a motion for a preliminary injunction that would have blocked a republican from being seated when the general assembly opens up next week. the lawsuit was brought in district 28. when at least 147 people were given ballots for the wrong district. the federal judge said the ballot error was negligence not enough to overturn the results. we talked with one of the voters who sued. >> i'm really disappointed. when it happened there was a drop in the pit of my

chopper 4 over the scene of some breaking news in maryland. take a look, montgomery fire investigators say multiple decks caught on fire in a row of townhouses in olney. 20 people are out of a place to stay tonight. investigators said it started in the fireplace in one of the units. there's more than $1 million in damages we're working to find out if anybody's been hurt. across the country tonight, hospitals are being overwhelmed by a flu emergency that's sweeping the country. last year at this time the outbreak was widespread in 12 states. this year, 46 states are struggling, tens of thousands have been sickened in nearly every state. including some who got the flu shot and more worrisome the peak of the flu season is still weeks away, so far this year, close to 42,000 cases are been reported according to centers for disease
