two men. ere in a yellow dodge charger spotted leaving the scene headed towards wt virginia avenue. obviously if you have any information about this crime, you're asked to call d.c. police. aaron, back d.c. we're following a developing story this morning. a man is dead after a police-involved shooting in southeast washington. >> neighbors have different information about this. police shot an armed man on first street yesterday. fficers wentsay into an alley and encountered a group of men who took off g. runn during that chase officers say one of the men pulled out his gun and point it at them. officers fired killing the man. stillan unclear if the shot at police. the neighbors say they only heard one setf gunshots. >> i was sitting there watching tv, ma'am. all i heard is -- i look out my window and a young man is lai on theground. >> that wasn't a back and fortho

ng. that wasn't a cross fire. that was one person hitting one person. >> while there is police body camera footage, we are reviewing that information. monday's ddly police-involved shooting in maryland. it shows the moments after a montgomery county police officer shot a man outside a silver spring condo building. an officer there is standing over the wounded man. that man is robert white. witnesses say there was a confrontation before that shooting. >> a male -- a black male talking to a police officer. eventually i saw the male pull the officer down on the ground. >> robert dwhite, who not have a weapon, died at the hospital. the officer who shot h is a two-year veteran and is on standard administrative leave during the investigation. the family of a prince gorges county police detective killed by friendly fire is now

suing the count and the officer who killed jai cole son. he was undercover and not in uniform when he was shot by a fellow office zbler 2016. that happened during a shootout at police headquarters. the lawsuit argues that officer taylor krause shot through an obstructed fence and at someone who didn't match the suspect description. it also says coleson did identify himself asn officer. the field is set for thisye 's mid term election. >> female winners kept going. barbara comstock will face challenger jennifer weston for the 1 district seat. she beat out half a dozen other democrats to take on comstock for one of the most watchedra s in the country as democrats try to win bk congress. vangie williams will take on

station in .pennsylvan police say this blast happened yesterday as two men worked on underground tank at a town near philly. crews pulled one man to safety. he's in critical condition now. hours later other man is still trapped underground. firefighters are worried another explosion could happen at a moment. the death of an olympian's daughter is renewing warnings about your kids and summer safety. >> this is just so heartbreaking. iier bode miller's 19-month-old daughter drown a swimming pool on sunday. they posted tributes. she found her way outside to the pool of a neighbor while her parents were inside the house. on instagram miller wrote, never in a million years did we think we would experience a pain like this. about ten people die every day from accidental drowning acrding to the cdc, and many of those are kids. injury prevention experts say something called layers of
