now from near the shooting there on southernvenue with the latest on this. justin. >> aaron, good morning. we can tellou the investigation is still going very strongly here. we're watching homicide detectives work here as well as crime scenevestigators. they are focused now just across from where we are on southern avenue. you are seeing them near what appears to be a driveway and a fence. also, we had several bullet casings there on the gro sd just ahort time ago. i want to tell you too this happened at 1:40 or so this morning. that d.c. police g the call of a man shot in the tea. he wasen to the hospital in critical condition. we are told the area where this investigation is now taking place is southern avenue he in southeast right at wheeler road. we are seeing closures on bot sides of southern avenue in this area here. i want to take you now to this -- you should be seeing -- you will see this is one of three shootin that d.c. police are now investigating. one also taking placest on son road in southeast as well as ivan hoe street in the

is significant evidence proving marquise austin fired at officers rst. police say austin started running from policeefore he started shooting. this happened on first street southeast. officers fired back. police say the handgun rovered from the scene was in austin's possession illegally. the officers involved were wearing body cameras. we'r told that footage will be released after it's reviewed by the u.s. attorney's office. this mning there is a break in the cold case of an arlington woman who vanished 30 years ago.ma a rodriguez disappeared in 1989. threeears later a set of human remains turned up along i-95 ano st county. new dna tests now confirm those rodrigueelong to the details of her disappearance and death are still unknown. her ex-husband josecr rodriguez is currently in jail afterin le police to where he said he dumped pamela butler's body. she disappeared from her district home back in 2009.

we' following two dwoopg stories out of hollywood this morning. both involve icons of the industry andve both inv accusations of abuse. >> los angeles police are looking into claims that stan lee may have been the victim of elder abuse. the second case involves sylvester stallone and sexual abuse allegations there. we'll begin with stallone's s. allegati they were first reported back in november. these allegations reportedly date bk to the early1990s and may be too old to be prosecuted. the los angeles county district attorney's office is reviewing the case now. there are few details about the allegations, but stallone denies them. meanwhile, los angeles police are investigating those claims of elder abuse involving comic book writer stan lee. they granted a restraining order against the 95-year-old former business manager. kia morgan isccused of separating lee from his family, moving him from his home, and taking advantage of his failing hearing, vision, and judgment. morgan wasfo arrested monda making a false 91 1 call.

he claimed there were burglars in the house. it was actually people conducting a welfare check on e. a big legal shake-up for president trump's former personal attorney michael cohen, currently at the center of an i investigation. eac news confirmed that cohen's legal team is lng the case. that move sparked specution he will cooperate with prosecutors, but sources close to the case say that cohen has not been interviewed yet. fbi agents seized millions of documents during raids on his home and office back in april. a federal judge gave cohen and his lawyers until friday to complete their review of materials. sarah huckabee sanders is firing back at cbs this morning. the white house press secretary took to twitter responding to a report that says she is planning leaving her job. sanders says she found out about the report at her daughter's kindergarten event. tweeting, "i love my job, and i'm honored to work for potus." nbc newki is w to confirm
