i'm going to walk you through your wednesday hour by hour and the weekend forecast. new at 11:00, local police officers are learning mental health and first aid techniques. tonight's class comes after a montgomery county officer shot and killed a man last olweek. bute say it's an example of training regularly available to all of their officers. cell phone video from last wk shows a officer and his partner standing near robertwhite. witnesses reported seeing white fight with the officer before the shooting. it's not clear if white was struggling with mental illness. tonight's training was scheduled before that shooting took wpla. want officers to come on scene and realize there maybe a healthme relatedency taking place in front of them and that the behavior may not be the true behavior of that individual. >> police tell us their officers inare t on verbal de-escalation techniques multiple times a month.

howard county prosecutors will determine whether charges are filed in last week's shooting. police in the district hope a sketch of the so-called d.c. hotel rapist will finally lead to his arrest. today police released this sketch of what they think he looks like now based on his dna. investigators tell us one man is responsible for attacking at least nine womenn i the late '90s and early 2000s. so far, six of those attacks are connected by that man's dna. >> he currently has a 15-year statute of limitations for first gree sexualabuse. but d.c. law allows us to indict an deunknown off under the pseudonym of john doe. >> and that's exactly what they're doing. is is the first time the district has been able to charge an unknown suspect using dna. next at11:00, members of congress meet with two migrant parents separated from their a childr the border.
