massive fire. firefighters have been working, of course for several hours at this point. i can tell you 90 firefighters are oe scene her as they continue to pour water and foam on to this end units. we're told onead firefighter been taken in for an evaluation. it's unclear t exactly whatir condition is. two residents we're told were injured as well. one, we're told, jumped this second floor to escape the flames. everyone did make it out ok with regards to escaping the t flames, buheir conditions,f urse, at this point are unknown. you're taking a look again at all of the smoke still billowing fromhis unit. firefighters, in many cases, it looks as if they're justg try to get a game plan. we've seen pepco here. countless firefighters here as they continue to fight what

beltway with no major delay. eun. >> thank you, melissa. now to breaking news in montgomery county. >> dozens of firefighters have spent hours battling a townhouse fire.ne 4's nicole jacobs is there. good morning. t> reporter: aaron, that call came in a 4:45, and sincethen, firefighters have been doing this, fighting this fire. you can see they're still putting water on the back of this yu this is where firefighters saw the most flames when they arrived here and those flames we're told by the chief, quickly spread. and it was shortly afterwards the roof collapsed which you can see here as well. still hot spots and smoke coming up from this home. he said thas because of the way it's collapsed. because of that collapse they've been having to fight this fire from an exterior standpoint. the chief said when they arrived and the flames were massive

because of that there's been a massive response. as you mentioned 90 firefighters responding to the fire. we've seen pepco here. ambulances here. we do know t residents were at home during the time. here's the fire chief speaking of that. we had originally found and we met with two the structure that had escaped the structure. reportedly, one had the window on the front of the building. tud unsure how the second one got out of the str. >> reporter: and you're taking a live look again at firefighters continuing to put water on this end unit. ehis is a two-alarm fire. although the f chief does say that it's slightly above a two-alarm fire. on firefighter, we're told, was taken to the hospital for evaluation as well. so, a total of three people taken to the hospital. those two residents that we mentio td who are insid home at the time, they were also taken to the hospital. thehief says a third occupant
