he explains the crippling ripple effect. >> what a traffic mess that whole thing turned out to be. really it was the perfect storm of events. take a look at all the reaction that was coming in on social media. people who said it took a halfu o go around a traffic circle. it took multiple hours to go on a cmute that would normally take 20 minutes. and all of this really haening, guys, because of the perfect storm of events. we had the wilson bridge episodw which shut some lanes. we had people trying to cut through 395 and 295 in the district which certainly complicated matters. we had an b orioleseball game which put extra strain on the freeway and you h the rain move in overnight. all of that combined for a traffic catetrophe and peo were stuck for hours. i got stuck at reagan national rport, couldn't even get out of the airport loop because the gw park way was bacp.d i finally had to ditch the car and hop on metro. that got me around the situation. all of this points to a need to further study our traffic management system and how we
