we have an update on that breaking news we brought you yesterday. montgomery county fire officials say arone tank somehow fueled a townhouse fire in gaithersburg. take a look at the video from chopper 4. fire officials say the couple who survived by jumping from their second floor bedroom slept with their door closed. that closed bedroom door mayav have their lives. after battling this fire for hours, firefighters went door to door in the neighborhood to check smoke detectors. news 4 spoke with one coupl who says it was a fire -- for them. >> this is not good. i don't want this to happen to our home. we have a baby. let's just get ready. i mean, god forbid something haens. >> montgomery county fire and rescue offers fr smoke alarm installations and safety checks to residents. well, here's what we didn't e during that massive backup just a couple of days ago. take a look at this video.
