through later on tonight. and that will bring us a chance of some more storms. some of those could be strong. we'll time them out for your t neighborhoodt is coming up in a bit. and then we'll also talk about how hot it will get. if you le summer, you will like this forecast. now to a developing story, prince yorge's couolice are investigating a fatal shooting. a man was t found shot death on binghamton place. officers were called to the scene just before 10:00 last night. ill no word on a suspect or motive. and police say a man died after officers tried to arrest him. fairfax county officers were responding to a domestic dispute call at a home on missi court in the alexandria section. we're told officers were arresting a 31-year-old m when he had a medical emergency and later died administrative and criminal investigations are under way. the pole chief plans to hold a news conference on the case in about 30 minutes. we have a crew at that news conference, so watch for updates in the nbc washington app.

get a doctor, you could take it home with you unlike methadone where you have to go to a clinic. s will decrease cravings for using opod also blocked the receptors so if you take an opoid, you won't get high. and then the third medication is called natural naltraxone. and this is a blocker so you don't get any effects. it is similar to narcan which you use to save somebody. >> and so ultimate thk this would be something with an addiction would yump o.jump why are people not? >> it is unclear. i have two theories. e is that i think unfortunately a lot of doctors are still not aware of these medications. and i think people are just not educated, the doctors aren'to educated they are not being offered this as an option. the second thing is i think it has to do withhe culture of recovery. o people who are in narcotics anonymous for an opoid

addiction, they are kind of frowned upon in that community if they are taking particularly methadone because they are rewed by other members of that community as notlly being clean and sober. so there is this social pressure to not take onef these medications. which i think is a huge mistakeh >> according t study, 3 in 10 people after an overdose get prescred one of the medications. so is it also a situation where it could be a financial thing or are they affordable enough? >> it is possible that it could beom expensive to people, but we're not talking about rip roaring expensively medications. for a one month supply, even if you pay cash, no insurance, is about $35 a month or another may be $100 a month. and there are preseare plenty o in this area where people should have access to the care. so in this area, i don't think that should be an ise. >> what treatment course do you
