neighborhood of alexandria. >> let's go to amelia drape s i thrm center. amelia, this is day five of this heat wave. how many more days to go? >> well, we have two more days. we're talking about a seven-day heat wave, and relief finally moves in for the weekend, but right now the d.c. and baltimore metro areas are under a very serious heat warning. take a look. the areas here in pink will be under thi heat warning. this includes fairfax, arlington, the district, alexandria, southern montgomery, owince georges, anne arundel and parts ofd and baltimore. other areas under a heat s advisory which serious but if you're in a heat warning stay indoors for the next couple of kurs. take a l at the current feels-like temperature and this is when you factor in the humidity and temperature. you can see areawide, trie digits, feeling like 107 degrees across most area, and i'm also tracng some isolated showers and thunderstorms right now. these are actually moving

we're still completely dry and we see thunderstorms fire back over the mountains staying for the most part rest of the blue ridge and by 7:00 p.m. maybe some a of rain and storms trying to move into washington and frederick counties. but for most of us fireworks displays i think will be absolutely fine and there's only a very isoled chanc of a shower or thunderstorm even during the afternoon hours. it's really still about the heat and humidity with the high temperature tomorrow of 95 nd degrees,s we look to the next ten days, well, we're talking about timely some reef arriving for the weekend. low to mid-80s and lauren will have more on yoit acties and how the weather will impact them tomorrow coming up at 4:45. and a look now at your rst traffic, roads and rail on metro will be running from 7:00 a.m. to.m 11:30 no scheduled track work. parking is free and off peak fares all day.
