back to the north and west of washington very, very heavy rainfall and lots of lightning with thunderstorms tt are having difficulty moving past i-81, moving past the blue rge mountains. these are kind of moving south with a little bit of westerly movement as well. moving south, southwest, ang i-81. tracking this thunderstorm up here up around frederius. this developing and this is starting to move again down to the south as well. i've drawn a line here on the map. i think ifou're inside of this line, ultimately the beltway and just pushing north and most of fairfax, at least southern and central montgomery county, all southern maryland looking fine for fireworks b tonigh if you're outside of this line, i can't rule out some showers. here is the thing, i think the lightning is going to start to drop out of these storms but i n't rule outain at fireworks times. well, fireworks time well north of washington. 91 d right now. fireworks getting underway the

traffic in here. they immediately observe him, confrontim. he did resist. two officers were able to eventually take him into custody. >> reporter:ut where was he? officers went into the store and found the 40-year-old lying. lifele his body beaten badly, according to a source. ma was hard working, worked full-time at weg and part time at this sunoco. customers did not know much about his personal they wanted to do something. one customer bringing flowers >> but i just want to say to the family, i'm thinking of you and my heart goes outndo you a to the coworkers. like, i don't even know how you go back to wk after something like that. >> reporter: tonight, police do have their suspect in custody but they're still asking for your help. they're wondering if any

fireworks at all the communities out the have planned. you can see right now, i'm tracking some thuerstorm activityust north of lou ray. very heavy rainfallring there. parts of the area around winchester have seen about 2 to 3 inches of rainfall this afternoon as these thunderstorms just moved along i-81. a lot of difficulty moving over the blue ridge because of the winds on the surface out the of the southeast. these are all flood warnings in effect until 8:00 p.m. tonight. infact, the red here is actually a flash flood warning for hampshire county in west virginia that goes until about 8:15. really keeping an eye on this thunderstorm here in frederick mpacting my hometown of middletown. we might see a severe thunderstorm warning issued on this storm. it's moving south-southwest. moving towards the brunswick area. then i think otr the n hour it will start to fizzle out
