eun? >> melissa, thank you.re two chi are safe after an hours-long amber alert in maryland. that went out aft police say dwight perry stabbed his girlfriend in gaithersburg and took off with his 9-year-old son and 18-month-old dauger. perry surrendered at a fire station after dropping the kid off with baby-sitters. neither child was hurt. perry's girlfriend is expected to survive. no word on any chaiges. ax county police say speeding may have caused this crash that left three virginia teens seriously hurt.m >> these i annals from chopper 4. you can barely make out the driver's side of the car. it was so smashed up. the roof ripped off and the rest of the car unrecognizable. the car slammed into a tree before crashing into that fence. two teens were airlifted to the critical conditio the other had serious injuries.

district. a bill has i beenroduced to the d.c. council to outlawng use plastic straws. they've switched to paper straws for environmental reasons. the village said it will go to -- it could become lawt sometime n year. some d.c. voters will try to raise minimum wages for workers. they feel disrespected by lawmakers. yesterday, members of the d.c. council introduced a bill to repeal initiative -- it would ise minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2025. reporters say the council is disrespecting the democratic process and d.c. voters. at least six council members and theayor say issue 77 is bad for workers and businesses. city leaders are moving forward with a plan to build a newtadium for the potomac nationals in fredericksburg. the city council aroved a tter of intent with the owners
