it is 5:00 a.m. good morning everyone. aaron gilchrist. i'm eun yang. a big night in d.c. but also major rain storms that we had to contend with. the all-star game wasearly a wash. look at all that rain at nats park. it soaked the field. even flooded the dugouts. field crews immediately sprang into actn drying off what they could. look at all the water in the dugout. it made for a wet start to the much anticipated bgame. ut it went on. n> that's right. it wasn't the ball field impacted by the bad weather. portions of the gw parkway flooded out too. look at t video. nearly 3 inches of rain fell in less than an hour in that area. more than a dozen cars became stuck in the water there and rose suddenly a quickly. many of the drivers d to be rescued.
