is not on lockdown. >> news 4's megan mcgrath is on the scene for us right now. what do you know? what can you tell us? >> reporter: let me step out of the way. you can see for yourself here the activity that we have re. now, within the hour, that report of a possible active shooter situation came in. that's what brought authorities here. we have both police department responding here to the c ccerenter at washington hospital centert now a this point, it is very important to emphasize that nothing has been found. a hospital spokesperson says that the hospital is not on victims have no been found. police, however, on the scene investigating the call. and a little bit of conflicting inform about the lockdown. the spokesperson says they are not on lockdown, what we are seeing here onne the s is that police are not alling anyone on scene.

we've seen people on the street trying to access the campus and they are being turned around, being told that they cannot get on campus at the moment. aot of traffic congestion is starting to build in the area. as you can see, police are t indetouring traffic and t to move things along. important to stress this is all very new, happened within the hour. they receive d received rep ats active shooter. they're trying to figure out if this call is legitimate o not. that's what they're doing right now. you can see all the emergency responders as they try to track down this report. at the moment, we have no victs and no confirmation that there is an active situation going on here. but certain there is an investigation and a lot of activity here. if you have an appointment ons campus at t point, the situation is that you will not be allowed on. so we, of course, are going to continue monitor this very

megan mcgrath is at the uahospital with this son that keeps going from one side to another. what's the very latest, megan? >> the situation is winding down.ok if you take a ere just within the last few minutes, police begin to pack up and leave the scene. they're no longer here at the front gate at all. you can see traffic is going on to the campus, both in cars -- people are coming ono campus. you c see a number of people on foot. at this point we've beenold park police helicopters search the area by the air. all the doors in t building were checked to see if they were locked.

nothing was found. they are winding this situation down. let's look what happened. earlier this morning a man walkta into the hos and told the nurse that he was going y a hoot someone, possi doctor, and then left. that nurse called the police and that's how thi all got started here. this is not an active shooter situation. was not. they are reporting a threat that was made here at thehospital. and police are still looking for the person who made that threat. for a time, the hospital was on lockdown. people were not allowed in or out. that is no longer the situation ju f within the last minutes, things opening up here. the search still continues for the person who made that threat earlier this morning. ucck to you. >> i don't know mh about it. e were on the bike coming and the driver got information that they would not be able to go into the hospital and all the bus drivers are now dropping everybody off at the next stop.
