rhode island eavenue along fourth. this is the scene of what it is apparently a fatal shooting. not too long ago at this intersection, 4th and rhode island northeast. the detectis are on the scene.er s not a lot of traffic out at that time. witnesses will be a challge for investigators here. it's a fresh scen't we don have information about a victim or a lookout. of course, it would follow no information about a motive.in stigators are on the scene here. you will find some street closures along 4th street, from bryant down to rhodeisland. we understand the victim may be an adult male. don't have a lot of information at this point. >> derrick, thank you. 32 reported tornadoes in 1 day. >> this morning, we're seeing incredible and chilling video from the storms. chris lawrence is at the live desk with that. >> chilling is the perfe word.

witnesses watched homes being torn to re. a tornado touched down outside of des moines. look at this. yesterday, a flurry of tornadoes swept through iowa, bringing hail and rain with them. it left a dozen people injured and flatten buildings in three cities. patients were evacuated from al l hospital. we know a tornado hit the town of pelam while a farm equipment plant was full of clients and workers. it has activated the storm warning system.f thousands workers were in shelters at the time the storm hit. >> thank you. in thee breaking new line of the storms. officials in branson, missouri, say 11 people are confirmed dead at this point. the tour boat they were on yesterday capsized and sank. we received cell phone video from that horrific ordeal.

>> oh, my god. oh, my god. >> officials say 30 people were on that boat five are still missing. anr affiliate in n says there were life jackets on the boat but it does not appear any rider had one on. investigators will be back on the scene to search forhem ce the sun comes up. officials of the boat company ride the ducks branson issued a statement saying, they are deeply saddened by the accident and will continue to do all they can to assist the families and authorities. the statement goe on to say that the safety of the guests and employees is their number one priority. new details this morning about d.c.'s recent spike in the medical examiner says the drug at the center of all of this is new type of k2, a synthetic marijuana. it has a chemical combination that hasn'tee been before.
