entiretation, the platform will have to be replaced, and that's because it's literally falling apart. chunks of concrete are worn down. it is also even. with this station in brookland closed, there's going to be no red line service. they do have freehuttle buses in place. we've been seeing them offered here this evening. commuters will be able to use those shuttle t buses to try get around these station closures. and there's going to be ad dedica bus lane on rhode island avenue to help speed things along. if you rely on metro to get to work, chances are you're going to be slowed down come tomorrow morning because even ifou don't use these two stations, the people who do may be using the yellow line. they may be using the green line. so yht find some additional crowding in places that you dma't ny have that. so, again, just to be prepared, have yourn alternate pn place. and as always, allow yourself some extra time.lo

yesterday. the two apparently got into some sort of anrgument and moreno got out of the car on sully road. that's when witnesses say chael moreno ran her over and kept going. relatives say nancy was trying to getth her b some much needed help. >> s wasbeautiful, and she was caring, and she -- she just had a good heart. >> police caught upith moreno in anne arundel county. hisvi sng sister said he was at a casino gambling. moreno is charged with murder and felony hit-and-run. new tonight, a deadly shooting over a parking space is sparking outrage in florida and testing the state's coroversial stand your ground law. take a look at this surveillance video taken thursday oside a convenience store in clearwater. this all began after a mannf nted a woman who parked in a handicapped spot.

people approved of the president's handling of the relationship between thendnited states russia. 51% disapprove. the poll also shows 46% of people think the mueller investigation should continue. 38% say ithould end. the poll was taken after mueller'sndtments against 12 russian intelligence officials. nbc news is going to break down whatll this means tomorrow on guthriewith savannah and hoda kotb. new at 11:00, contghversy to after a cvs pharmacist in arizona denied a transgender woman medication for hormone therapy. pharmacists in southern states can refuse toill prescriptions based on moral and religious grounds. hilldy hall went to fill her medication. the pharmacist rejected the prescription and refused to give it back to her. hall's doctor wrote her another prescription, which walgreens filled.

khmassive se can be worse. the rains didn't help this weekend as this hole opened up in germantown. i that road shut down between middle brook road to crystal rock drive. news4's darcy spencer with what you need to know before heading out the door tomorrow. >> reporter: crews used heavy equipment to stabilize the road. a huge sinkhole formed on father hurley boulevard in germantown after a storm dumped seven inches of rain in just 12 hours. >> i hope the fix it soon. >> reporter: but it's not going to be a quick fix. a county transportation official says the road will be shut down for at least a couple of weeks while the water line is replaced. >> a ls of people use t way to get up to the store and get to the restaurants up here. i don't know how it impacts businesses too. >> reporter: this will have a major impac on commuters and people who live close by. father hurley is shut d middle brook road to crystal rock drive.

cupboards, your pantry. the company that makes ritz crackers i voluntarily recalling some of their products over salmonellas. fe a total of 16 varieties of ritz cracker sandwiches and ritz bits are on the recall list. they contain whey powder. that company that supplies the powder issued the recall because of a possible risk for salmonella. there are no reported illnesses so far.> some of the smallest babies in our area will soon be getting a unique birthday present thanks to a special charity. the objectopus for a preemie project. the dolls let the preemies feel like they're still in the womb and introduce them to their parents' scent. t shere holds crochet classes for people who want to get involved with this.

defiy.tely a possibil i think it's actually more likely that we're going to see flooding tomorrow. any sunny days? i don't see any. not coming up anytime soon. what about next weekend? we've even got rain chances into next weekend. it's just -- it's crazyut there, folks. take a look right now at your radar and satellite. we do hn e some rill falling in the area. you canee down towards the district, areas like temple hills and then we move a little her north. this is a line of storms that is pulling northward that brought lightning through montgomery county. if you heard it roaring a saw that lightning going crazy, that was this storm. starting to lose a little bit of its zeal but still heavy rainfall right now. it is falling in howtyd coun. it's going to continue northward and then move out. the rain we'reno seeing we still have watches and warnings in effect. breaking it down, the darker green areas are under a flash flood watch until 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. if you are living in the light

green areas like frederick county, anne arundel, parts of prince george's, under a flood warning until 12:00 a.m. just keep in mind that if you ow areas around where you live that are pasy orne to flooding, you definitely want to keep in mind that it's probably floodedovt this point. the past 12 hours, accumulations around 4.5 inches in calvert in the district, just under an inch in some spots. so maybe not asrutal as yesterday, but you're adding this on to what we saw yesterday. the end of the ek, we will probably see some areas seeing ore than a foot of rain in total. all right. futurecast. 7:00 a.m., we're dry. lots of clouds. as we move through the afternoon, here's 1:00 p.m. pshowers starting tok up and move through the area. kind of widely scattered at this point back along i-81. between going to be 2:00 and 7:00 where we're going to watch for that threat for thunders lrms. more thaely tomorrow will be a lot farther west of the district.

absolutely marvelous professionals. today we mark one year since the world lost a light and d.c. lost a monument, and we at news4 lost our leader. we took a moment this past week to remember our friend and colleague. vance left behind a legacy with spokes from all walks of life. when we think abo all tha happened this past year, we can only imagine your commentary evoking the tears and cheers. vance's last interview was with ie bunch, the foundingdi rector of the national museum of african american history and culture. as it turns out, it was an emmy awardie winning inte vance earning his own place in that very smithsonian. it's a place where we can all go one day toee and hear that laugh. a year later, and we still miss the soul of our newsroom.
