>> reporter: the crime scene right in the middle of the crosswalk at 14th street and perry place northwest. what appeared to be a screwdriver could be seen on the ground near some of the ctim's belongings. the stabbing happened in broad daylight during evening rush hour as dozens of people were walking or standing nearby. homicide detectives were called to the scene and spoke to a number of witness who saw some or all of what happened. because 14th street i a major metrobus route, buses were stacked up for more than a block until drivers were given instructions to reroute because of the stree closure. the man in custody is identified as 54-year-old alton rivers of northwest washington. he's charged with second degree murder. in northwest, jackie bensen, news 4. n > the stage is set once again and few hours, beyonce and jay z fans cannd des on fedex field for night two of their stop in our area. you'reooking at pictures from
