mccarrick was part of our family forever. he was invited in early in our lives, and we all had to call him uncle teddy. he was part of us since he was ordained in 1958. i was born in 1958. i was the first guy he baptized. i was his special little boy who was going to be taken care of by the priest. i was raised to trust the catholic church. i was raised to trust mccarrick. and when you're growing up in the '50s and '60s, you're just a kid. you're not listened to very much. it was about him, always about him. he was more powerful than anybody else. he told me so many times i was nothing. >> if yocould talk to him today, what would you say to him, james? >> you ruined my life. for what? for you to feel great? u ruined, you ruined, yo ruined my life.
