floodwarnings. i'll show you where in just a second. around the beltway, light, spotty showers. things have improved in the last 30 minutes. laurel seeing more moderate rain near gaithersburg. leesburg and frederick, virginia, seeing the heaviest rainfall. this is all sliding up to the now in northern virginia, parts of fairfax and foster county, flood warnings until 7:00 a.m. through 7:45 this morning. we are looking at ponding on the roadways. we hav a very unsettled weather pattern all the way into the weekend. coming up, we'll she you what the weekend is going to look like. we'll go to jac taylor to see if we have issues on the ys road jack? we have issues this morning, unfortunately. the oute loop of beltway near the big curve where the traffic merges with the 270 ur, traffic has been stopped, but we have one left lane tting by near riverroad. the high-standing water is blocking two lanes.

was basically monsooning. and very heavy rain. this morning, though, we're watching the rain head to the north. so here's the thing, for the morning commute, for most of the morning commute, if you are the typical commuter after5:00 and 6:00 a.m., you'll be fine as far not heavy rain falling, but from the rain early this morning from the past few hours, you may be running into the ponding on the roadways. that could be dangerous out urthere. we'rently looking at the rainfall in parts of frederick county, northern parts of montgomery county near gaithersburg. that's where the green and more moderate rainfall is. so thatrt continues too. and as we zoom around the beltway, we're looking at mainly dryer conditions. but right near parts of 495,th 's where we are looking at more moderate to heavy rain. but that is one small area. most of us around the beltway have seen the rain leave. flood warnings are uparor of fairfax county down to faulkner county until 7:00 a.m. some of the flood warnings may go until 7:45.
