good morn all this rain moving out? yes. fortunately, the rain has actually come to a stop. we are still dealing with the runoff and everything, so there are a lot of roads impacted, bue at least rain has eased off. >> it's not falling from the sky at this point. so you won't need the win shield wipers at this point. if you heard the rain falling, it was very e wly while youe sleeping. there you can see the heavy rain move through quickly. and itroed enough rainfall to spark the floodm warnings fro southern parts of fauquier county up to fairfax county. the flood warnings are going until noon today.ar and of d.c. up to southern parts of montgomery county, tood warnings until 8:30 hour this morning as well. be very careful iving. never drive through flooded roads. and we have a flash flood watch for areas north and west of d.c. from noon todayntil tomorrow afternoon. and we also in the areas have a chance for strong to severe thunderstorms later today. that's the yellow-shaded area north and west of d.c. going throughout the eveng

with a tree down in the on 16th tree. that's near the intersection of holly street. i'm hoping the metropolitan police are on the sce. at nalternates are never great around it as we wt for the water to pull back. back over to you. >>hand 6:03 w a closer look at the street flooding. >> adam is in fairfax station. adam, what are you seeing out there? >> reporter: well, there are roads heavily impacted bye all ain you were talking about. this is fairfax station road in fairstation. obviously, you can't get across the road right here. eu can see the t branches going across the water. it's fast moving across the water. d the driver did what we always tell drivers not to do when you can't see the bottom of the road. they try to dri through the water right there. and that is the situation. that driver is apparently okay, but this road, fairfax station road has been shut down near

good morning. lauren geoghegan and jay austin have ties to georgetown. and together they set out to see the world. and then sunday the dream trip came to an early end in what the state department is cal ng a senseless attack. the couple was tracking their journey withheir online blog both quitting their jobs to travel the world onke lauren was a georgetown grad but also worked here in the georgetown admissions office. jay earned his masters at georgetown and went on to work at hud., on sundoth were killed of what is being called a car and knife attack in tajikistan alongside twother tourists. and lauren's family released a statement, as did colleagues at the d.c. tiny house building company, saying the year-long bicycle adventure lauren and harer jay austin were enjoying was typical of her enthusiastic embrace of life's opportities, for openness to new people and places and her quest for a di
