all the recent rainhat we've had has only made it more treacherous for travel. it's led to an increase in the mosquito population and is raising concerns about theest nile virus. >> chris gordan has more on how fairfax county is trying to control the mosquito population. >> reporter: these lab technicians are working to us from the mosquitos that transmit the west nile disease which can be deadly. from april until october they're busy here at the fherfax county alth department's mosquito lab. theye looking for mosquitos infected with the virus that can transmitdi the ase. their numbers are growing because of the recent rains. >> meaning there is increased potential for increased wt nile. >> reporter: it starts by setting up parks at water sheds and water fits. on the average there have been four cases each year of west
