87degrees. if you were closer to culpeper, ng. happeight now. the search is on for a missing mother of five. she lives in new york but her suv was spotted in fairfax county. >> and noas one heard from the 50-year-old woman since last weekend. police say she left home to go to philadelphia but officers found her vicle in virginia and arrested the man they found behind the wheel. news 4 reports. >> reporter: a 50-year-old woman, a mother of five drove from home in new york to philadelphia this past weekend. the nypd says's in danger. >> her family reported her missingn july 28th because they just haven't heard from her in several days. it'sighlyunusual from what the family says. >> reporter: fairfax county

>> $25 million, that's how much a local family wants from u.s. park police because two officers shot and killed their son. the family's grief began eight months ago when someone ranth io back of a jeep on the gw mparkway. the left the scene and police chased him. officers approached the jeep and fired nine times. the man was not armed. the government refuses t share more information about what happened that night. the family hopes a wrongful death lawsuit will lead to more answers. >> i don't care who wants to say this was just.as this not just. they did not do their job. >> i don think will ever recoesr from this for the r of my life. i don't think time in this case would help. >> and we did reach out to the u.s. attorney'soffice. they declined to comment on the lawsuit. an uber driver says a passenger choked her, threatened

to kill her and stole her car. d.c. polic tell news 4 the driver picked up the passenger early wednesday morning near the trump hotel. the driver says the woman became irate yelling and accusing her of ignoring her directions. the passengwe overd the driver and took off with the car. detectives arrested a woman of northwest washington. she is charged with carjacking. developing this morning a new report from the washington post connecting a former member of the trump campaign with a suspected russian agent. >> the post reports e-mails provided to the senate intelligence committee. they show maria butina and j.d. rdan socializedefore the election. gordan works on president trump's campaign and tran igs team. he says hisac intons with butinaere harmless and she networked with many people in shwashington. e is accused of trying to push

nra. it's made up of some students from marjory stoneman douglas high school, some survivors of other mas shootings and people say they want more restricts on guht rig in the united states and the banning of cyptain t of weapons. this is the nra head quarters. they'veeen girding themselves for the protest f quite a while now. we have folks down there who have been here since early this morning. the fencing has gone up. right now there are more police and emergency vehicles here than protesters. now, some of the groups have been pulling out of marches in other cities for colorado, for instance, because of w rt had beorted as threats against participants in the protest. however, we don't hav any word of anything like that happening here. they promise a peaceful but passionate march. the folks you see with the flags on the corner, they are supporters of the nra, and we talked to those folks abo why they felt they had to come out here today. take a look.

>> reporter: montgomery county police officers arriving at the home on kitchen houseway on germantown in april were met by a scene o horror. four people shot. one, a w19-year-old, fatally wounded. >> this is a very violent incident. this is a very troubling incide. the community was a peaceful residential area. >> reporter: a spokesma for the montgomery county state's attorneys office says after an eight-day trial jurors convicted the man of rder. trial testimony revealed he and a second man arrested in coection with the case, erik lee, had a short time before the home invasion, robbed two occupants of the house as they got out of a car. court documents say the shooter manded to know where the marijuana was. >> the individual and his accomplice rlly decided that they would rob individuals of a small amount of marijuana.
