leisurld in as pep hill. news 4 got to the scene, darcy, this is a developing story but what are you learning so far? >> reporter: i was able to speak to mtgomery county police a short time ago and got the very latest information. they are now confirming that this was, in fact, a double shooting. we're here at a park and ride right off of norbackroad, the closest intersection is georgia avenue. let me show you the focus of the investigation is that car right there in the parking lot. it is a toyota prius. a little whileago we saw police going in and out of that car. ight now no activity surrounding it but police are telling us this is where they found two shooting victims. we want to show you video we shot a short time ago. montgomery cnty police gothe call about 4:15 this afternoon. when they got here, that's when ey discovered the two men. one of the men was dead here on the scene. the second man was transported to the hospital in critical

condition. we've not yet been able to get an update on his condition. we're told it was grave. police are saying they recovered a gun here on the scene. we don't kw if this was the gun that was used in this double shooting or ifnet is ced to this case at all. but again, montgomery county police here on the scene of this park and ride in the silver spring area, investiting a doub shooting. one man is dead, the second in critical condition. td this again is a park and ride area that doesn't look like it's used that much. it looks like there's a lot of constructi so police are trying to figure out how this happened, who these men were. as we get details we'll update you. meanwhile, massive protests outside the national rifle association building in fairfax today. vivers of the deay school shooting at stoneman douglas high school in florida organizing the rally. counter protesters met them. news 4's derek moore with the

take a look at this fiery a scene a gas station in southeast d.c. a fire igniting in the garage of that station. the d.c. fire department snapping pictures. you can see a car completely charred. th tell us a work light fell, igniting fuel being drained from acar's gas nnk. one per was seriously hurt. the gas station is on martin luther king avenue. the statue of confederate general robert e. lee has been vandalized in richmond. the letters "blm," believe to present black lives matter,

let's go back to our brking news. r top story this evening, montgomery county police working a double shooting in aspen hill. this is unfolding in a parking lot on georgiavenue and norbeck road. somebody called police after spotting a suspicious car, and that's when police discovered the men's bodies in the car. one man is dead, the other'ses are described as wcritical. stith news 4 on-air and online as we track this breakinr the president of the united states versus one of the biggest nba stars. a day after president trump blasted blaims, he hit the road visiting the swing state of ohio to rally for a g candidate where he will speak at any moment. these are liv pictures. you'll remember james is from ohio. he played for the cleveland cavaliers. mr. trump blasted him last night on twitter after cnn's don lemon interview with james. the president questioned james' intelligence just days after

after all that rain. we were going just going to be no at least it's not raining and things continue to improve in terms of the flooding situation. most of the ik rest of the weekend we'll be just fine. taking a look at our sky cam over thedistrict, a little hazy to partly sunny sks. no rearain. it is of course very warm. we're still officially at 88 at washington reagan national. but at least we're not deang th any rain. and then we still have a couple of minor flood warnings to deal with. the rappahannock has minor ooding in trouble spots. all these flood warpings are expiring during the early morning hours and not going to extended. the past 12 hours, storm team 4 radar has been basically clear. a couple of showers around midnight, stray showers are trying to work out of west virginia. t they're not going to make it over the mountains. even if they do, a couple of sprinkles from time to time. repetiti
