believe he was but white did not have a gun. some at the rally displayed ripped shirts in white'smemory. montgomery county police are still conducting their internalo investigation see if this officer violated any departmental policies or procedures. we reached outo montgomery county police. they had no comment at this time. in silver spring, darcy spencer, news4. >> the silver spring justice coalition sponsored tonight's rally at the fountain downtown. friends, neighbors and supporters called the shooting an injustice. many of them told us they want the officer who shot white to be chfired. they m to the scene of the shooting and held a vigil. >> i was appalled. another unarmed african-american man in this country killed in an encounter with police. and this time here in my home, silver spring. >> so, again, montgomery county police still investigating the shooti.

new at 11:00, it is a story that y s first on 4. after an uproar over theti sugg of separate metro trains for white supremacist protesters, metro now saying nothing is off the table. the website says demonstrators t plan toe the vienna metro to d.c. for sunday's rally. yesterday metro board chairman jack evans backtcked onis earlier comments. he now tells news4 the issue of separate trains was never under consideration. here's part of what metro told transportation reporr adam tusk today. it says nothing has beenid d yet. everything up to this point is under discussion. it also says the confines of a railcar present a unique security challenge, adding this ckind of group using pub transit is new. metro says it is working with law enforcement and the public safety is its highest priority. we're going to continue to follow this story of course.

we have breaking new details out thatragic plane crash in southern california. the twin engine plane slamming into the pking lot of a very busy strip mall during the middle of the lunch hour. all people on the plane died. lots of t people saw disaster unfold. here's a second-hand account of that. >> she was actually on a playground with kids, and the plane started coming dn on t of that playground. the pilot noticed that he was l going tod on these kids, so he internally, she said, turned the plane. >> nbc's dan scheneman has new video from bystanders watching in horror as the plane plunged from the sky. >> reporter: a terrifying moment caught on video. a twinngine cessna plunging to the earth. >> o scene, one twin engine aircraft down in the parking lo o >> reporte witness said the plane appeared to be in trouble.

>> i'm thinking to myself,e'hat pl going to crash. in that split second of thinking that, it had kind of banked a little bit and then just dropped. >> reporter: it crashed into the parking lot of a santa ana shopping center, everyone onboard >>dead. o survivors on that airplane, five fatality doas. no injuries on the ground. >> reporter: a parked car was hit when he plane camedown, but authorities say the driver was inside shopping during the crash. the national transportation safety board tells nbc affiliate kntv the pilot did not declare a flight plan and the tower at the john wayne airport less than two miles from tth scene o crash approved a runway after the pilot declared annc emer the cause is not known. the ntsb has launched an investigation. dan scheneman, nbc news. we want to give you a live look outside our studios here in northwest d.c.

storm team4 meteorologist lauryn ricketts is tracking a heat wave and now we're talking about the beginning of this workweek with feels-like temperatures in the triple digits, lauer i. >> we've got the tyheat, humi and the feel-like factor at around 100 degrees over the next coup of days. we had a few showers out there earlier. dissipatednow we are just looking at some dry conditions as we continue into the overnight. this green is some clutter from our radar. we're not looking at anything right now but did have heavy downpours earlier. 78 is our temperature right now. that south wind bringing in that humidity. that humidity is going to continue as temperatures drop intohe 60s and 70s. might not be a good idea to open up those windows tonight only becaee it's going to so muggy out there. fog forming overnight as well. we're going to take a look at how warm we're going to get and how long the heat sticks around. more rain chances this week. we'll talk about those coming up
