30-year-old donald franklin georgette was arrested for spitting on two virginia state troopers. he is from d.c. and has been charged with simple assault. metro's largest union says general manager paul wiedefeld deserves to be fired. >> he lied to employees on how they were transported downtown. >> chris lawrence at the vienna metro station with more and with what metro is saying about all this. chris? >> ll, first ofall, they're saying, aaron, that metro escortedcustomers to be to the rally on a private train. metro says that's not true. this morning we're sorting out o the facts so you can decide for yourself. got to the metro station about 2:00 in the afteoon. ey got onboard an orange line train to foggy bottom and for a few minutes riders did block from entering the station. the train wasn't complety private, however.

journalists were onboardnd ce kessles train left the station, they reopened that entrance. we're told basically at some point transit officers were advising passengers to the front of the train and then when they arrived at foggy bottom, all the passengers were asked to exit first andhen lice escorted kessler's group off the train. now, metro's pol e made the final decision on how to safely get kessler's group to the rally. quote, they were escorted by police on to the rear of the train and police road inhat rail car and others to protect the safety of everyoneonboard the train. the train stopped at every station to allow anyustomers to enter and exit. now, one d. council member called this unbelievably wrong and disgraceful.xa says it is the opposite of what metro said it would do and, of course, metro's largest union now demanding that wiedefeld

a little bit of a slow down because it's 5:30 on a week day morning. as you're approaching the wood bridge area. a little bit of a slowdown. very typical for this time of day. same situation 0 south through urbana and just volume there. no actua problem. southbound on 95 in maryland from2 down to the beltway. you can see you're on time going 71 miles per hr and speeding and you'll get there in ten minutes. your time is 33. we have breaking news out of new york city and angie goff is at the live desk with more. what is going on? >> this is out of newark, new jersey. a coach bus carrying passengers rom d.c. to newark penn station has crashedinto an overpass. the company arranged the bus for thepassengers. and the company tells our nbc station in new york that the bus was nearing its trip to penn when it barrelled into that being operated by a group called liberty coach which has yet to release a statement on this.
