with details on a special tribute happening. good morning, justin. >> hthere, erica, aaron. good morning. we know so many are missing aretha franklin's music, her voice and her commanding presence was here at national portrait museum. they are paying tribute t her back in 1968. her music genre, her influence going well beyond song into american culture including the civil rights movement. the singer began her career in her teens touring the country her stop included here in the d.c. area. as her fame grew, so did her venues whichould go on to include the kennedy center as well as president obama's inauguration back in 2009. when she came to our area she was also frankly part of theer ea choir. she said franklin had a voice that you could never forget.
