with this tragedy. and, from arizona to annapolis, services and tributes lasting five days. what we are now learning about the plans to honor senator john mccain. >> announcer: news 4 at 11 starts now. horror for dozens inside jacksonville, florida. a man goes on a shooting rampage during a live video game tournament. good evening. we leaed the shooter is 24-year-old david cass. tonight federal agentslu ing the fbi and atf searched a home in baltimore whee he may h been living. he committ suicide but not before killing two other people and wounding nearly a dozen others. >> reporter: competitors flockes to jville to play an nfl video game. livee middle of the streaming competition the shooting started.

[ gunfire ] >> the first shot everybody just turned around and looked. after the second, third, fourth shots, everyone just took off he exit. or >> reporter: authorities converged on the scene. an entertainment complex along the city's river front. witnesses ran f cover. >> i seen somebody on the ground. i seen a body on the ground. i seen a kidith blood all over him. >> reporter: police say w three peope killed, including the shooter. >> three deceased individuals at the scene. one of those being the suspect who took his ownli . there were nine victims transported to area hospitals. ven of those had gunshot wounds. in addition, there were two additional gunshot victims that self transported themselves to local hospitals. >> reporter: authorities released few details about a possible motive, but they believe they identified the gunman. >> we believe the suspect being 24-year-old david katz from baltimore, maryland. >> authorities continue their investigation, a community must now cope with tragedy. >> i couldn't believe it.

later this week on friday, one of these bigve gamings is scheduled to start. the brother of that young shooting victim told me hets wan to make sure these events are olfe. wilson high sc graduate was wounded in the mass shooting in florida. he was there for the m gaming tournament when the shooting happened. he plays for the professional gaming team called complexity. a bullet appears to have grazed his thumb. he was otherwise okay. his brother told news 4 someone sitting right next to him was shot. he sent out a series of tweets after the shooting. they appear to go from hock to gratefulness that he wasn't hurt more teriously. he w the tourney just got shot up. i'm leaving and never coming back. i am literally so lucky the bullet hit my thumb. worst day ofy life. i will never take anything for granted ever again.an lifee cut short in a second. his last tweet, if i haven't said it befo, i'll say it now,
