the westbound lane. truck was going eastbnd in the eastbound lane. truck blows out a tire, crosses over the median, and then the busck and the tru collide head on. >> r borter: greyhound 1333 with 49 passengers on board was headed from albuquerque to phoenix when ite crashed near new mexico/arizona border thursday afternoon. >> oh, my god, there was one person hanging out the window! >> reporter: many of the passengers in critical condition. others recovering from injuries ranging bone fractures to liver lacerations. >> was hard to see that,he pain in the people's eyes. >> reporter: christopher jones was one of the first on the scene, helping the victims before emergency crews arrived. >> there was a lot of scream og, a lot people in need of help. there was a woman there. she was pregnant and her husband was just screaming for anybody for help. >> reporter: a the crash site the semi involved flipped on its side. its cargo strewn across the highway. the front end of the greyhound bus completely demolished after being struck head on. >> yeah, it's a greyhound.

>> reporter: the impact so powerful, debris from the crash foundeds of feet away. >> everything's such a mess down there. the officers whenst they fot here, it was chaos. >> reporter: the truck driver survived the crash, but the fate of the bus driver is still unknown. the accident causing gridlock for miles on o of the state's busiest thoroughfares. the owntsb is on scene looking into clues into how everything went so horribly wrong. >> reporter: gadi, you look at the accident scene there, and while tragic, it's hard to believe there were not more lives lost. you mentioned the ntsb being on the scene. what do investigators look for in accidents like this? >> reporter: well, it's going to be that tire blowout that's going to be the big factor in this case, but there are also other factors to look at. as y know, big rigs are designed to withstand a tire blowout like that without catastrophic failure. so the l ntsb team w looking at things like the road condition, whether or not the driver was fatigued or may have had health pblems and other

possible mechanical failure issues. guys? >> all right, gadi schwartz for us new mexico. thank you. also this morning, a halifornia man is out on bail after beingrged with threatening to kill employees of the "boston globe" newspaper. c's justice correspondent pete williams has that story for us. pete, good morning to you. >> savannah, the empyees who took these calls in the newsroom of the "boston globe" had no t idea whey were coming from. the fbi says they came from that california man, robert chain, who threatened to shoot reporters in the head for criticizing president p. >> get out of our way. >> now take a hike, you bozos. >> reporter: overnight, robert chain was n apologetic shortly after a federal judge released him on bail. >> america was saved when donald j. trump was elected president. >> reporter: the fbi says his threatening calls to t "boston globe" began august 10th, the same day the "globe" launched a national campaign urging newspers to run editorials supporting a free press.

controllers on the ground detected a minor pressure leak on board. >> two different pressure gauges are showing that the pressure continues to drop. >> reporter: determining the crew on board wasn't in immediate danger,he they let sleep. when the astronauts awoke the next morning, they sprang into action, with help from mission control workers in both and moscow. according to nasa, the leak source, a hole roughly 2 millimeters in diameter in the upper section of the soyuz space vehicle, a vehicle attached to the russian section of the space station. they believe it may have been caused by a tin micromeadorimic. they launched in june, carrying three astronautso the station. >> thanks for supporting this international project. >> the duo played an integral role in helping stop the gerst reportedly plugged it with his finger before it was patched by using a pro poxy in a gauze

i like to cook with whiskey and bourbon once in a while. i love a t-bone. i'll get t olive oil into the pan. i'm just searing, so a nice coating on the bottom. i love a t-bone because it's like a smart man's porter house. i don't want to say a broke man's porter house, because i ain't broke, but i love a t-bone steak because it'ss expensive, it's further up on the cow, same cut. so, we're going to get it into the pan, saltndpepper. >> oil down, get it hot. >> a little bit. it's been seasoned, salt and pepper. cook on maybe one side for two to three minutes, other side one to twominutes, depending on the thicknesr meat also looks room teurerature. make it's room temp before you start cooking. >> carson, preach that is the number one problem of grill roasting or cooking fy meat in the summertime is people won't wai it to get room temperature. so, two hours outside at room temp is all you can do, and that's all it really ever takes for like a chicken or a turkey or anything like that. >> room temp. >> we've got our testers over there. how abo anthony?
