"early today" starts right now. we have breaking news out of alabama this morning where police say a barrage of bullets have been fired outside a teen party. at least six people were shot and one of the victims was -- has life threatening injuries. the gunfire erupted during an altercation between several individuals attending tparty. police have detained suspects at the event center inside t blocked off area. they say these individuals may be responsible for the shooting but so far no arrests have been made and investigators are interviewing witnesses. >> a final fairwell to a maverick. john mccain laid to resthe at u.s. naval academy in annapolis. it followed a week of public events including a moving memorial at theatnal cathedral in washington. it brought together former presidents fm both parties. we are in d.c. with more on how he was remembered.
