>> reporter: well, we've got new details. just spoke with the montgomery county fire spokesperson who tells me, firefighters still have not yet made contact with the family of this home here in the 6900 block of whittier here in bethesda. b it'sieved that no one was home at the time. neighbors say that the family was staying elsewhere while the home was being renovated. but the car in the driveway that's rightro at the door, just steps from the, front do caused firefighters to wonder and start some initial searches as the flames basically raged inside this 7,000-square foot house. >> yes. we had anxiety for a whilar there was an the driveway. that time of the night, there's forys the potential residents to be in a house asleep. this particular home was being renovated. neighbors told us thatevhey be the family was staying with others. as far as i. kn last i heard, still have not been in contact with the family.
