public safety. >> reporter: now, the medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death. live heren herndon, shomari stone. >> thank you. now to a story about keeping children safe at school. we've been telling yount for now about plans to put armed retired pice officers in elementary schools in prince william county. >> with the new school year under way, two of the armed guardsre already in place. news4's jackie bensen explains how the program will work this schoolyear. >> this pilot program is already under way and the way it's described is more low key than many people were expecting. >> the prince william county scho board gave formal approval to a memorandum of understanding with the county lice department. retired cops are now filling up the six positions five school community safety officers or csos and one supervisor to provide increased security in elementary schools.
