with a criminal investigation. at this time, no charges havebe filed. nbc news reached out to the couple's attorney, who said they have no comment. the case cente around $400,000 the couple raised on gofundme for johnny bobtt jr., homeless veteran who gave mcclure his last $20 when she ran out of gas on a highway outside of philadelphia last fall. more than 14,000 peo paid it forward and donated, but now bobbitt says the couple didn't pay it forward, they paid themselves. bobbitt is suing the couple a a jud ordered them to return the money. but in court this week, a bobbitt'orney said his client has only received about $75,000, andhat he was told there is nothing left. >> i'm not sure that i accept that it's all gone. >> reporter: the couple did not attend the hearing, but they say they've given bobbitt about $200,000. last week, they told megyn kelly they oy spent $500 of the money with bobbitt's consent at a casino, and they claim the paid him back.
