bit of sprinkle activity. but we still he some flood watches up. mainly those are to the west. these will continue through monday morning. you can see they'he out for d.c. area. however we still have some coastal flood warnings, escially down by alexandria and down by the coastline. but we also have flood warnings to t north where maryland is because of a lot of rain came through the m earlier this morning. so ongoing flood warnings up through that area we'll talbout the winds. we'll talk about more rain because i do believe we'll have some rain for monday morning. and then, of course, what's going on in the tropics. we'll time out the latest track of florence. th's coming up in just about 15 minutes. >> all right. and speaking of, emergencyn manage officials say now is the time for virginians to f prepar hurricane florence. teams have been working through the weekend for what they call virginia's most significant hurricane event in decades. the biggest concerns are coastal and inland flooding. damage from high wind and widespread power outages. in a video posted on twitter earlier today, virginia governor

redskins/cardinals game. she took part in the coin toss there. we go to breaking news out of texas. tonight, the white dallas police officer who shot and killed an unarmed black man after walking into the wrong apartment has been arrested. this is her mug shot. officer amber guyger arrested tonight on a manslaughter warrant. she then bonded out of jail. on thursday, she shot and killed botham john after she says she mistook his apartment for hers. jean's family says he was a devout christian and his loved ones are >>devastated. some sad news involving a young man who disappeared swimming in st. mary's county in maryland yesterday. authorities say they found him dead today. short distance away from where he disappeared in the patuxent from alexandria.

it felt like fall. it was awesome. >> it was great. football ready to go, right on cue. but we're back to summer-type weather. and then we'll have the daily chances of afternoon thunderstorms before we turn our focus to florence. so we're goi to talk about florence in a minute. but let's talk than heavy rain tonight. it's going to beot , mainly to the west of the region as we go intoov the night. a lot of the flood warnings have been expired or canceled. and we also are out of that flood watch for a lot of ourgi too. so i'm going to show you where the heavy rain is set is. is why we're weather alert because we're going to have some pretty breezy conditions. th the ground saturated, i think we're going to have additional putages with additional trees down there. is obviously flooded roadways out there. high standing water on the roads. a lot of roads are shut down across our region. ease, please, please make sure you abide by all road signs as you head off to work early tomodow morning.

hen we've got more rain tomorrow. it's not going to be quite the washup today. but we're goi to have rain throughout tomorrow. right now we're seeing some spotty rain from fricke county, maryland, all the way down to warrington and back towards the i-80 corridor. really interesting how we're getting all of this moisture and y we saw such a steady rain today. frontal system stalled across the region. that's going to lift north as a warm front. that's going to be something to keep in mind as we go intohe next couple of days. then we've got moisture coming off the atlantic. we'reding into the gulf moisture as well. so all of that is playing into some steady ra, andhat's why we still have some flood watches ouomthere. still flood warnings until about 3:30 tomorrow morning through maryland. so, again, a lot oflooded roadways out there. and cool conditions. temperatures in the 50s and 60s acro board. we'll stay in the 60s overnight with some more showers her a there. and then through the day tomorrow, look at this. temperatures areckoing to be n the low to mid-80s. some spotty rain and even a passing storm. so, again, some spotty rain ovenight and even s fog with

a chance of a spotty storm as we continue through the day tomorrow. start to dry up on tuesday and keep an afternoon chance of shownd thunderstorms through tuesday and even into wednesday. temperatures tomorrow will be back into the low to mid-80s. three hurricanes out there. helene, isaacor and ce. let's talk about florence real quick. florence isytill a categor 1 hurricane, expected to become a major hurricane tomorrow. look at this, headed right into wilmington, north ca. as a category 4 hurricane. by thursday night into early friday morning. and again, all of our computer models continue to take it up through the carolinas. the thing i'm worried about is this area of high pressure that could keep it spinning around our area and into the midatlantic as we go into the next work weekend. so again, friday, saturday, sunday, monday, even on tuesday we may have to watch for rains area.d our otherwise we have small chances of rain. but just know, this week will continue to be a little on the hot side. so that will be something you really have to take account as
