breaking tonight, two retiring gop senators are joining the chorus of democrats calling for a delay in thursday's confirmation voteor supreme court nominee brett kavanaugh. a t republican tells the "washington post" that he'll talk to kavanaugh and theoman who says kavanaugh sexually assauladd her d ago in montgomery county. democrats want the fbi to investigate. so let's take a a closer look what we know about the woman stine ford. she teaches psychology at a college in california. she told the post she first revealed the incident to a therist in 2012. according to the post, she passed a polygraph test in july. nbc's kelly o'donnell with more reaction. >> reporter: christine blasy ford described kavanaugh in the post report as stumbling drunk at a maryland house party in the 1980s when she claims he pinned her to a bed and groped her while another teenaged boy

around the same locations thatth it's see entire time. downd a myrtable beach, wilmington. this has had a couple of tornadoes associated with it. right now it's severe w thunderstoning associated there. and look at all the red here. all the way up to roanoke. these are all flash flood warnings. flash floodeearnings in t states as a result of all of the rainfall that we have seen so far out offlorence. now, this flash flood warning, yeah, i think they may be i extendo our area during the day tomorrow, especially west of the blue ridge. you can see w re thatstorm. and it's moving slowly to the north and west, bringing that heavy rain up against the mountains. any timeou bring theain up against the mountains, it kind of rings out the moisture. and that's why we're going to see more out there towards the blue rid points to the west. for us, nothing going on. we're on the dry side. h e a couple of shower activity and he a coupl of showers down here towards the blue ridge are, but not much going on down there. shenandoah valley looking okay right now. but look tomorrow morning.

here we e overnight. shower activity to the west. watch how it comes in tomorrow. 8:00 a.m., even around the d.c area, we could see some showers. they'll be very light. i'm not worried than ely. but watch what happens back to the west. showers to the east along i-95. by 1:00, we're starting to see the rain along t west, especially the i-81 and the blue ridge. that's where some of the heavier showers and thunderstorms could be. this is still a spinning tropical system with the remnants thereof. that means we couldee an isolated tornado or so out of the storms. that's s be watching very closely. once again, even at mfive,t of the activity west of roi-95. h midnight tomorrow night, shower, a few more showers into tuesday morning. and then tuesday, it all finally moves thonugh. more last gasp here before florence finally exits and exits the rest of the midatlantic. but we'll still see some shower activityhrough early on tuesday. that's why the national weather service, nothing around d.c., but has issued a flash flood
