ford judge kavanaugh will both appear before the senate judiciary committee and all those cameras, one week from today. our team coverageon beginsht with leon harris, he's at the live desk with the latest. >> jim, doreen, brett kavanaugh spent nine hours at the white house today after washington post" published that story, identifying his accuser over the weekend. nbc news sources describe that meeting as positive. they say ital included a cl with twyers that work for republican members of senate judiciary committee. sources tell nbc news kavanaugh reiterated that he's eager to testify about this incident. christine blasey ford told "the washington post" that kavanaugh was stumbling drunk at a high school party. ford says that kavanaugh pinned her to a bed, groped her and put his hand over her mouth to stifle her. kavanaugh denies the allegation. now, despite being at the white house all day, kavanaugh did not meet with the president, but as you'll hear, he still has his support. h is one of the great

prompted flooding. we have flood warnings everywhere that you seehe bright green here. flood warnings to the west including orange county. there are numerous roads closed as a result of all the htvy rain t we've seen. and a flash flood watch still in effect for the rest of us until about 4:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. this could be an issue overnight really for the next couple of hours. some of the storms that i'm watching down to the south are strong and even have ather tornado warning south of charlottesville right now. he.m's 7:00 tomorrow. notice shower activity, maybe some heavier showers. but i dxpect wet roadways. by 1:00, it's mostly right along and east of i-95. for the most part. that's where i expect itobe. look at southern maryland. more rain into this area. now, n expecting severe weather tomorrow, but we could, just like today, see heavier storms move on through. by tomorrow nigh it's moving out. tomorrow, 81, rain and storms. best chance, i-95 to the east. some of that may be on the heavy side.
