including o behind me on benning road and one just within the past hour. s let's rollome video. this is near the dbrentwoo rec center on downing place northeast. police confirmed just about an hour ago, they found a man shot and unresponsive. homicide detectives are on scene, but we don't know the man's condit on. backut here live, this fire uck pulled up a short time ago. firefighters are across the street on the other side of that 18-wheeler, and they are cleaning the pavement. keep in mind, there was a shooting there. police are investigating here on benning road northeast. this is the same block where four people wrp shot friday night. d.c. police released this video of two persons of interest from this past friday night's shooting on the 1800 block of benning road northeast around 11:00 at night. police found four people wounds.g from gunshot all the people survived. police are investigating both shootings and won't tell us if

well in a few minutes. >> okay, thanks, doug. found alive after five days. a 74-year-old manr voo survives that building destroyed by fire in southeast last week. his door warpe by the fire and the water, trapping him inside. thest big queion tonight, how did no one know he was there? news4's jackie bensen spoke to a d.c. council member who is furious tonight. jackie? >> reporter: jim, this is an amazing story. this man was inside his apartment over there on the second floor, watching tv, we understand, not knowing that a four-alarm fire was raging around him. >> but it's completely unacceptable and inexcusable that there was someone in there for five days a d wen't know about it. >> reporter: the 162-unit arthur capper senior residence in southeast burned for hours on wednesday. charles allen says he was in the

command center athe rec center next door when members of the edgewood management company district sembled officials that all of the residents were accounted for and had been evacuated from t burning building. but five days later, structural engineers going through the building heard a voice. >> and we go, is somebody in there? and he goes, yes. so, i said, we'llet you out. and he said, i'm not going any place. reporter: the 74-year-old was found in his second floor apartment and the engineers used a kitchen chair to carry him outside. district officials held a press conference to address the extraordinary discovery. >> so, initially, the management company confirmed that everyone on the list wasr. accounted today, they acknowledged that he was -- they had not laid eyes on him personallyhough they had the other people who they checked off on their list. >> reporter: now, according to

a long way to go befe this all moves through. temperatures tomorrow, getting up there from where they were today. only in the 60s this afternoon. morrow.rederick 83 in fredericksburg. sunshine to the south. day.s way late in the we're going to be in the clouds most of the day. here's tomorrow morning, 8:00 a.m. shower activity. drizzles, showers, fog. not nice at all. noon, not a good day to get lunch outdoors. we're still talking shower activity. it will be light. we get taf the rnoon, we start to see the winds shift out of the south. if we can get enough iearing, anhink we will down south, we could get into the low 80s. we may do that in d.c., but very tough forecast here, because i think the temperatures are going to vary big time between the t north a south, areas around our region. by 8:00 a.m. on wednesday, still more clouds, areas of fog there. we get into sunshine on wednesday. we break out into the sunshine, into the warmer temperatures, and that leaves a chance for some thunderstorm activity. here's 6:00.
