school, there will be grief counselors for students and staff who are stig com grips with the sudden death of a senior here. joshua snyder was killed in that crash yesterday that you mentioned. the principal sleasing that news yesterday in a school wide message hours aftera jos snyder died in this crash off i-270 southeaund montrose road close to 3:00 p.m. yesterday. investigators say snyder was t behi wheel of a buick century sedan, veered to the shoulder, struck a stopped box truck. there was no one inside that truck, but snyder, just 17 years old, was pronounced dead on the scene of that crash. at this point, they do notbe eve that alcohol played a factor in that crash. investigators are telling us now. now back live, that crash is under investigation at this still looking for a cause, but here on campus, snyder is being ered by the principal as hard working, kind, and having a

positive impact on all of those who knew him. again, counseling will be available today for those who need it as they grieve joshua's sudden death. live in nrmantown, jus finch, news 4. >> justin, thank you. >> montgomery county police have just released the name of a ed aect who allegedly r woman in rockville yesterday. police say 25-year-old dustin rodgers attacked aoman at the intersection of route 355 and gude drive on tuesday. the woman says she was walking to a friend's house from the shady grove metro station around midnight. police say that's when rodgers forced her into the woods, beat her, and sexually assaulted her. she wa able to escap to a nearby office building where a curity guard called police. news 4's megan mcgrath isrk woing this story. we'll have another live report with her later in the newscast. and police george's county say a man was found dead in the street last night. th man was found on manton way in lanham around 9:30. he had been shot. no word on a suspect or motive.

staying on top of that out of south carolina. seven police officers shot and one of them has dierd thisl was so dangerous. police had to use a bullet proof truck to get the wounded officers out of the line of fire. th went down after sheriffs deputies tried to serve a search rrant in florence, south carolina. they were investigating an alleged sexual assault on a foster child. this is a look at the scene moments after a man inside the home pulled a high and started shooting. overnight, we learned the suspected shooter is an elderly man named fred hopkins, the father of the suspect in that allege sexual assault. police say they couldn't storm the house because hopkins was
