happen over the weekend. he'll walk his daughter down the aisleve and america will new supreme court justice. the vote begins at 10:30 this mornin and news 4 will have a special report on the proceedings and you can look for updates on the nbc washington app. >> d.c. police are investigating a drive-by shooting inea sou and apparently those shots came from a u-haul truck. megan is at the 7 district police station. what can you tell us? >> well, i can tell yo it's an unusual look out for the vehicle that's involved in the drive by shooting that happened last night. the two women that were shot say that the bullets came from a u-haul truck. now take a look at the maphere. a group of five peoe were walking in the area when the shots range out. they're expected tutbe okay they were injured.

the u-haul truck drove away and they haven't found it yet. inveigators still looki for that truck and the people that were inside it. now, interestingly nenough, monday, at around 2:00 in the morning a person was robbed at gun point at 60th and clay street inth nst washington. three men were handguns then fled in a u-haul pick up. nowt's unclear if they're related but that's something that police will be taking a look at as for the drive-by shooting that happened last night, no arrests have been made. back to u. >> megan, thank you. >> congressional republicans appear to be one step closer to making pay rises ait re they have a deal to give a 1.9% pay raise next year. president trump decided to freeze pay last month over budget concerns. the deal also lists a salary

jobse on executive level like the vice president. representative bash bra was a key player in brokering this deal. congress likely won't vote on it until aer the midterms. >> the man accused of driving a woman off a sidewal and raising her, initial hearings for dustin rogers continues. police say that rogers attacked the woman tuesday night. rogers has an extensive criminal background. he's been arrested 11 times. this morning he's still being held without bond. >> he was known as a respectful young man with big plans for his life. this morning the sheriff's office is still searching for the person that killed elij ah cole. he was at a home in waldorf around sd8:00 wed night when a nearby fight turned violent.
