that may have been in the area. a military veteran is in critical condition after being shot at 15thnd d streets northeast. he's the eighth person to be shot in five shootings over two weeks along that bending road corridor. the shooting happened yesterday evening. within minutes police officers erested two peo and confiscated two guns. officers had been in the area because of the recent violence. residents saying they're beyond frustrated. >> this is our neighborhood and now it's getting to be unsafe because the gunviolence. on september 24th two people were killed in the area. no arrests have been made in either homicide. a wee ago a nine-year-old girl was hurt in a shooting. no one is in custody in that case. and two weeks ago two suspects were arrested for shooting and wounding four people. this morning man is in grave condition after being stabbed on the metro. e attack happened before 1:00y yesterda afternoon on a packed
