agents say he had a bomb factory in his basement. we're told he used black powder he bought online to make a bomb about the size of a small hot dog stand and was meant for d.c rosenfeld had even been conducting explosive tests away from his home. his alleg plan was to set it off at the national mall on election day. >> they found the actual explosive device. he called and made his intent known, to blow himse up on election day. this was an actual thing, and it was a real threat tet the s of our country. >> investors sigators say the bg was intended to draw attention to rosenfeld's political views. rosenfeld apparently called a news reporter in pennsylvania to boast about his pl, and that reporter called pole. they eventually found rosenfeld. investigators believe he's the only person involved in this coming up on 4:34.

rails. let's get to amelia draper first. where is the storm, and what are we expecting? >> the storm is down in georgia and south carona, but it's interacting with a cold front that's just to our west. as these two systems kind of come together later today, we're going to see some heavy rain around here, especiallf east 95, where flash flood watch is in effect for prince ,george charles, calvert, st. mary's county, down through parts of stafford and king geo counties. this starts at 2:00 p.m. today until 6:00 a.m. on your friday. the heaviest rain impacts everybody for the afternoon and evening hours. there arca already someered showers out there. if you're in the flash flood watch, you can anticipate about 2 to 4 inches of rain elsewhere, including mostro of the m area, about an inch of rain, maybe a little less. still,ot a great day out there. you definitely want to grab the umbrella. recess for the kids today could be indoors. i think a lot of us will be impacted by rain. take a look. showers scattered across the
