york city. the time warner center, home to cnn,at eva again. >> it is happening again. >> reporter: this time just a scare after a suspicious device was delivered here earlier this week. scenes like this playing out across the country. least ten homemade pipe bombs now recovered in new york, d.c., florida, and california. the terror targets all outspoken criticsf president trump. among them, joe biden speaking out in buffalo overnight. >> these pipe bombs being mailed might wake everybody in my buness up a little bit and realize that we have to begin to put this country back together again. >> reporter: invesbegators now lieve all of the packages were mailed after inspecting pomarks like this one. evidence suggesting at least some of the pipe bombs originated from this postal

fa. and if they do, it may help trace where the bombs were initially mailed from. this is not like a regular post office where the public can walk in a buy stamps or drop off mail. this is simply where packages are sorted and directed. upwards of a half packages come through every day. still, maybe someone remembers these bombs because of the way they were labeled. the packages sorted come from as far north as fort pierce, florida, and asar souths key west. there is no evidence that the bomber lives in the region. they may have driven here, dropped the off at a post office and left. still, this is a lead for investigators, craig. >> kerry sanders in florida. >> let's go to justice correspondent pete williams. good morning toouou. what can tell us? >> you know, kerry is right. that's not the end of the road because it would have been the last point that anys packa

from the region went through before they lefthe florida. sohore is to figure out which post office fed the pe mb envelopes to that center. they say, unfortunately, none of the packages bear any postmark from an originating posusoffice be bulky packages like those don't go through any kind of sta cancellationr sorting machine. if they can figure out which post offices theges were mailed from, then the fbi can go there, look at surveillance video, hope to catch the bomber in the act of dropping the bombs bombing cases have been solved that way before. >> pete, wha other connections might investigators be looking into it? >> well, florida is a focus for a couple of reasons, not jus the ones that kerry was talking about, but because of tips from the public and other leads. federal agents are actually starting to interview people there who might have important information to shat. one line they are chasing, any people who had grievances with congresswoman d bie wassermaschultz. now, the bomber put her office

just 11 days until the the president's appealing to his anti-immigrant base. the trump administration now drafting executive action that would make it far more difficult for central amemmcanrants seeking asylum at the u.s./mexico border to enter. a white house official telling nbc news no decision has been made at this time. a u.s. official tells nbc the pentagon is preparing to deploy hundreds of troops to the southern border. the department of homeland security requesting troops be in place by early next week. their assignment, behind the keen support for border protection officers are already there. kristin neilsen with fox news at the border thursday. >> is there any scenario if people force their way across the border they cot at? >> we do not have any intention to shoot at people. they will be apprehended, however. i take my officer and agent
