leon harris here at the live desk wit new information related to the robert mueller investigation. nbc news h learned the special counsel is now asking the fbi to look into reports a woman was paid to make a sexualault allegations against mueller hims.f. several d reporters were contacted by this woman. the reporters investigated andd foer claims did not appear to be true, and then they alerted mueller's team a spokesperson for the special counsel says that they immediately went to the fbi. also tonight, "the washington post" repor that mueller's team is looking into the timing of two bombshells from the 2016 election. the hacked john podesta e-mails dropped r off president trump's access hollywood tape surfaced. investigators want to know if roger stone was in contact with wikileaks about those e-mails. stone and wikileaks deny any communication between the two. reinstating d.j. durkin, after the death of jordan mcnair back in june. durkin's been onaid administrative leave since august. the decision has been met with xed reviews of him returning. according to multiple reports, players walked out of a team meeting with durkin earlier today. now, that said, durkin issued a statement, referencing how he was grateful to be back and oud the team has remained unified during this difficult time. now, durkin went on to say, quote, as we move forward, i'm confident that our team be successfully represent the entire university in a respectable manner both on and off the field, end quote. now, according to reports, durkin will be back on the sidelines, as mentioned, this saturday against michin state. now, for players, fans and al alumni who don't agree with the decision or trust the head coach, the maryland board of regents knows that will take time. >> d.n duras to do a major job in terms of winning the co idence of people. i would tell you, and the
