street. we went back by there and smoke with neighbors. one telling us that he knows the suspect involved in this. with familylivin off and on for some time and was having some personal problems and he wonders if that's what led to that shooting last night mondaymorning, the 1100 block of laurel street. quieer again a hours of activity from prince william ing up phasee, wra one of this officer-involved shooting investigation,n centering this home. >> sounds like a bunch of firecrac >> lewis wilkins heard the gunfire fro across the street. he ao says he knows the suspect, described as a 29-year-old man. wilkins says his neighbor had recently fallen on hard times. >> he'd been acting strange tely and tired of life, you know. fed up with the way life's been going. >> reporter: just before 6:00 p.m. sunday, calls of shots fired brought prince william county police to the quiet block. the police chief describing the shooting as an ambush.

protectiveheder. they say suspect answered the door armed with a gun. officers stred for the gun and it went we're told that is when the suspect was shot and killed. the officers were not injured. a scary morning for some middle school students in silver >> a loaded school bus collided with a trash truck this morning on norbeck road. news 4's adam tuss is on the scene right now with an update aboutow those students who were on the bus are doing. >> they were definitely shaken up this morning, pat. take a look. this is the road where it happened. you can see the sta highway administration and the road crews are still out here, actually treating the road after the wreckage here. the bus is dpgone, but right around that curve right there, that's where it a happened, and the scary situation unfolded. looking at the front of thisbu it's amazing that anyone walked away without serious injuries 39 kids on the bus total and the driver, nine children and the t driveren to the hospital,
