happening right now, a protest underway at the university of maryland. students tre making new demands for the school's leadership after the death of football player jordan mcnair. nicole jacobs is there asking what the students are talking about. >> reporter: theha rainot stopped these students from showing up. they started this rally at what they consider the place of knowledge. the student library and they've walked here channelling to what ce of onsider the p power. the administration building. they're hoping to have their voices heard 24today. student groups and organizations are protesting the idea or even the possibility that dr. wallace loh couldta s on as president of the university. he announced last week, he would reti in june but students say the have been rumblings. that decision could be reversed. all of this hapning as coach dj durkin was reinstated as head coach last week. then fired the very next day.
